Hey! My name is X1T--pronounced X-IT--and I am the owner/creator of SPIKEHEADZ. This brand has always been a dream of mine since I was little. I'm an artist of many mediums and this is one I've been manifesting for the past 3 years. 

 

How did this design come to be?

Well to let you in on a little bit of me, I am diagnosed with BPD (Bipolar Disorder) + other mental stuff that are still in the process of being figured out paper wise. These designs came to me when I wanted to stop trying to make all my work perfect and just--create.

I went to RCAD for 4 years + another 3/4 years of certificate and technical art training--but perfectionism is my biggest flaw.

It started out some graffiti on my bedroom walls--each smiley was a representation of how I felt in my head. The smiley that looks like it could be happy--or maybe mad--or maybe even sad? All I know is the smiley looked crazy and I resonated with them a little too hard. I had this instant attachment and figured I wanted this smiley face to be more than just a doodle of mine--I wanted to make it a piece of me that can exist in its own realm. 

So--now SPIKEHEADZ exists.

Here you'll find every piece is hand-made with love by me. 1 of 1's, no mass production of any sort. I want to bring back value and individuality to garments-- and possibly bring back fun with a purpose to the clothing market.
